Week Seven

Week Seven felt the longest out of all the weeks. By the end of Friday I felt completely drained, yet I still have all my midterm papers to work on. Some things I did to focus on self care during the start of these reading days was take an Epson bath, light eucalyptus candles, and try to get back into meditation

Something that I did as Ambassador for this week was that I served on the Decanal Review committee as a student representative during our first meeting. It was interesting to see the dynamic about how a dean is reviewed and the documents we'll be analyzing. The committee actively asked for my feedback, so I feel empowered to be in this position and best lend my voice to students.

As apart of Student Government I also volunteered since this week was Mental Health Awareness Week for the Affirmations and Gratitude wall I collaborated with the Directors of Health and Wellness to create. It was so inspiring to see the simple joys everyone values in life and propelled me to think of my own. I also went to Senate and heard from leaders of the Wellness Center and CAPS about the amazing work that they do, as well as the Bearcats Pantry and their service toward students as well. And I attended the first meeting of the Student Government Mentorship Program. Unfortunately my mentee wasn't there, but hopefully we'll get to talk soon!

Now I'm going to enjoy my reading days. Until Week 8!
