Week Five

New week, who dis? It is unbelievable to think it's already Fall, almost October, and in the blink of an eye, the end of the semester. One of the events I had the opportunity to participate in was the Retirement Celebration. Last year, I got to share multiple conversations with Dean Metz, particularly of how passionate he is about students. It was very to be in an event that bid his farewell, but I am very exciting to see where the next chapter of his journey takes him! It was also very cool to see all the older photos of the retirees and all the places they've been outside of UCBA. The event was fun and I am happy that I could participate in it.

This week, I also got to do a classroom visit over Zoom with Shadi and Hannah Thompson. While we spoke about being involved and our own experiences, I couldn't help but realize how far I have grown since my first, even second year of college. Being involved is a learning experience and to garner all the personal skills I have from them, I couldn't imagine who I'd be not engaged with the campus in some way outside of my classes. 

In other news, I am having fun with my classes. At times I feel like I am scrambling to places, or have little free time to do what I enjoy when I have a moment to breathe, but I am taking everything in to the most of my ability. When I look back, I don't want to see myself running around that I didn't realize how great the
